Ingredients:
1/4 cup Wellbe Organic Besan
3/4 cup Multigrain Powder (a mix Of Organic Hand Pounded Rice, Foxtail Millet, Finger Millet, Little Millet, Red Rice from Wellbe)
1/4 cup Organic Almonds
A handful Organic Raisins
1 cup Wellbe Organic Jaggery powder
1/3 cup Wellbe Desi Ghee (warmed and melted) plus 1 tbsp to sauté the besan
6 pods Organic Cardamom
Note: The multigrain powder is very versatile and can be made ahead and stored. This is how I make mine. Wash, sieve and dry roast 500 gms of each of item mentioned in the ingredient list. Mix and store in an airtight container. Powder the required quantity, whenever needed. This mix can even be used in smoothies, porridge etc.
Method:
1. Warm 1 tablespoon of ghee, add besan and sauté till it turns aromatic, for around 3-5 minutes. Keep aside.
2. Add 1 teaspoon of ghee and fry the raisins. Keep aside.
3. Mix sautéed besan, multigrain powder, jaggery powder, powdered almonds and raisins.
4. Crush the cardamom and add in.
5. Warm the ghee in a heavy bottom pan.
6. Put a few tablespoons of the dry ingredient mix onto a plate. Add 1-2 tablespoons of the warmed ghee and mix. Shape into small balls and keep aside. Repeat this process with the rest of the dry mix.
7. Store in an airtight box and enjoy this guilt free snack anytime you crave something sweet.
